About the Program

We prepare and provide an environment that supports each child as they engage in meaningful experiences throughout their day. Our philosophy is rooted in the merging of the methods Montessori, Waldorf, Charlotte Mason and Outdoor-Nature experiences. We research and follow current international scientific research as well as our own daily observations to continually evolve our unique program to the needs of the children at our school.

Social Mission
We promote, guide and support the evolution of the human consciousness though our actions and thoughts. Our belief is that everyone is free to develop their skills and capacities in their unique process of becoming the best human being possible, one that practices love, compassion and empathy for all life. Through observation and moments of pause, we take every opportunity to practice peace, gratitude and an awareness of the interconnectedness within our Universe. This foundation helps uscbecome stewards of others, the environment and ourselves. Rooted in these values, we celebrate daily and enjoy learning together Our school realizes that being outdoors and in Nature is the best learning environment that promotes our physical, social and emotional well being. We enjoy inviting, supporting and encouraging all families regardless of their economic circumstances to participate in our unique program. We realize the gifts that a diverse community brings to our development. We practice treating all life with equal dignity and respect coming from having developed our awareness of our interconnectedness as Earthlings. All of these ways help us make the world a better place. This is our overall mission.

Meditation and Affirmations
We practice meditation each day combined with breathing exercises and coupled with the tapping in positive affirmations that often lead to open group discussions.
Order, Concentration, Coordination and Independence
As a Montessori trained, Waldorf inspired teacher I am also anchored in the belief that our service to the children lies in protecting each child’s concentration and allowing them to practice Practical life skills and support their intrinsic motivation. This helps build their love of learning, coordination, order and independence, which in turn aids in their self-awareness and ability to care for themselves, others and their environment.

Community and Social Responsibility
We value an atmosphere of Peace, Social Renewal
and Stewardship of the Earth in which all individuals
are included and can flourish to contribute their talents
to the greater good of all. We strive to realize our
responsibility to reach our potentials so that we may
become collaborative, independent learners that are
self-motivated to become contributing members of
the World community.
Compassion, Empathy, Feelings and Needs
At the center of our unique program is Intrinsic Motivation, and Social Emotional Learning. Checking in with ourselves and trying to identify what we are feeling and needing is a daily practice. This allows us to expand our compassion and empathy for ourselves and others. We want to build an unconditional friendship with ourselves by learning to accept andacknowledge what our bodies and emotions are telling us. This work is based on our Respect based Communication learning guided and developed by Marshall Rosenberg and his Non-Violent- Communication work.
